Some of us are moved by our recent or past history. We search through readings, documentaries, and even the filming locations of our favorite Greek films to recognize the streets, the squares, the way of life back then, and compare it today.

I have always been fascinated by the history of communication and especially the Greek history of telephony. The purpose of this creation is the history of Greek telephony, from its beginnings to optical fibers…….that is, today.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all my friends, colleagues and relatives who helped me in the realization of this project. Without their valuable help, I would not have been able to even begin. The purpose and goal of the entire effort is to transmit the history of telecommunications in Greece, the way in which it was realized and the works of art that constituted its operating systems.
