INSULATORS
OTE
During World War II, telecommunications were destroyed. Thus in 1946 with the end of the war and as a part of German compensation the majority package of shares of the German A.E.T.E. acquires the State. In 1949, the Telecommunications Organization of Greece OTE was founded and absorbed all the telecommunications facilities of AETE and T.T.T. About 5,500 transfers were made from the old companies to the new OTE. For the time the telephone wire was used as a means of transmitting telephone communication, the insulators used in the telephone network were made of white porcelain. On them were written the initials of the company with various graphic characters and colors depending on the country of manufacture.
