Wireless

In the late 1980s, the first wireless telephone devices appeared in Greece. Although they had a large volume as devices and with a large antenna was the revolution of the time in the equipment of fixed telephony. Now the housewife wanders around all the rooms of her house doing her chores, with the phone hanging in her ear without having to be wired to a socket. In the middle of the 1990s, OTE decides to place wireless subscribers on its subscribers at their own request and at their own charge. It undertakes the responsibility to make the relevant checks and to provide the necessary certifications regarding the compatibility with the public telephone network. Devices that had the certification of the Telecommunications Organization of Greece bore the OTE logo in a prominent place. In this section we will not make an extensive report but indicative of some models that were installed in large numbers in Greek homes. Indicative reference as a tribute to the wireless telephone device, since they are not of any special collectible interest… ..maybe after a hundred years.
