ERICSSON

Type 1951

Here we see an  Ericsson type 1951 ivory, made by Ericsson Holland. The 1951 type is actually the name given to this model by the Dutch PTT, which Ericsson named 11420. Ericsson Holland produced a very small number, which were not delivered to the PTT. The essential difference is observed on the upper back of the shell and under the handle where for the PTTs we see the company logo in relief while for the low-end Ericsson there is a relief of the Ericsson Holland logo. The company put it into production in black and ivory. Quite a large number of such telephone devices were released in Greece. There was a craft in the center of Athens that painted black Ericsson 1951 and other colors to order, such as blue, red, yellow, green, gold, silver and brown.
