Helmets

The helmet worn by 1960s motorcycle dispatch riders—internationally known by that specific term—is now a museum piece of military, postal, and telecommunications equipment. Originally designed for World War II motorcycle messengers, it was made of metal. Production continued into subsequent decades using early thermoplastic materials, and the helmet was used by the military, police, postal services, and telephone companies across almost all European countries.
