TELEGRAFY

The company Stoeckhardt & Schmidt Kronacher Porzellanfabrik started building insulators in 1912 in the Kronach region of Bavaria in Germany. In 1996 he stopped making porcelain insulators. He discovered BASOLIT which is an insulating cement and since then manufactures ceramic insulators for high and medium voltage networks. Here we see a white porcelain insulator used in telegraphy. At the top of the insulator (in the dome) we see the company logo. The dimensions of the insulator are 84mm x 128mm. The code according to the National Insulators Association (NIA) is U-1284.
