INT-1A

In 1984, OTE placed an order with the ELIK consortium for the supply of a new telephone device. The ELIK consortium was the forerunner of the company Intracom that will appear as the only Greek supplier of OTE in the coming years. The device was named INT-1A. The first phone that OTE starts to place on subscribers with a keyboard. And this phone was pulsating. Released only in gray. This device is identical to the Alpha ferro quick model. The Alpha ferro quick was manufactured by the German Democratic Republic in the early 1980s by the RFT-VEB Fernmeldewerk Nordhausen consortium (RFT stands for Rundfunk Fernmelde Technik). In East Germany it was released in four colors: orange, gray, green and red. The OTE logo is a prerequisite and is located on the top right of the device shell. It was placed on telephone subscribers until mid-1987.
