IRIS 5001

In 1997, the Hellenic Telecommunications Organization signed a contract with the Greek company INTRACOM SA, for the supply of a new telephone device as a replacement for IRIS-4001. INTRACOM presented the new upgraded IRIS-5001. The IRIS-5001 is a new design and is innovative from a functional and aesthetic point of view. It was made of selected plastic material to ensure its stay in the subscriber for many years. Available in five colors: blue, burgundy, anthracite, beige and green. The device was manufactured in three types: 5001, 5001G and 5001GS. Their differences concern digital services that are already enabled on the device and the number of phone memory stores. The OTE logo is a prerequisite and is located at the bottom left of the device shell in terms of anthracite and beige shades. In the other colors in the same place we find the INTRACOM logo engraved. INTRACOM supplied OTE until the end of 2003.
