OTE
MASTERSET
The laboratories of the Telecommunications Organization of Greece around the mid-1980s decided to design and manufacture a telephone device which would be intended only for the offices of the Management of the Organization. Both its philosophy and its exterior design were influenced by the MASTERSET 111 telephone set of the German company Siemens, which had already been procured by OTE in the mid-1970s. It was only available in brown. Internally the electronic components were borrowed from the MASTERSET 111. Βut also its external appearance was very similar to the German device. The rotary dial had been replaced by a pulse keypad. The handle and base of the device were dark brown, while the shell was light brown-beige. The cords were spiral type in black. The second and last attempt to produce a telephone device of Greek design by OTE.
