In 1890 the company Porzellanfabrik Hermsdorf-Kloster-Lausnitz S.-A. was founded and until 1922 it manufactured insulators. In 1923 Schomburg and Porzellanfabrik Hermsdorf Klosterlausnitz merged under the name HESCHO. Hescho used the tri-delta logo as well as the name HESCHO (Hermsdorf-Schomburger Isolatorengesellschaft). After World War II in 1952 the company was renamed VEB KWH (KERAMISCHE WERKE HERMSDORF) and continued to use the tri-delta (Christmas tree) as its logo. Tridelta, based in Hermsdorf, Thuringia, is now the successor to VEB Kombinat Keramische Werke Hermsdorf (KWH). Here we see a white porcelain insulator made in 1953 which was used in telephone circuits. The code according to the National Insulators Association (NIA) is U-1268. The dimensions of the insulator are 75mm x 118mm. On the front is imprinted the name of the Hellenic Telephony Company and on the top of the insulator (dome) the logo of the production company.
