DMC 830 Alto

The SAGEM DUAL SIM DMC 830 ALTO was a hybrid device. It was one of the very first devices of its kind released in Greece. While at home, it functioned as a DECT cordless landline phone, whereas away from home, it operated as a GSM dual-band (900/1800) mobile phone. The device was launched in the early 2000s through a collaboration between OTE and the French company SAGEM. It featured a candy-bar design with a four-line monochrome display, a built-in 100-entry phonebook, and a hands-free function. The device measured 132x50x26 mm and weighed 154g. It was equipped with a removable 650mAh battery, offering two and a half hours of talk time and approximately 100 hours of standby time.
