W48

Telefonbau and Normalzeit Lehner & Co. T&N was founded in Frankfurt in 1899 as a telephone rental company. In the 1980s, it was renamed Telenorma. Until 1986, AEG-Telefunken AG was the largest shareholder in T&N. In 1987 the company became a full subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH and from the beginning of 1995 it initially operated as Bosch Telenorma and later as Bosch Telecom GmbH. Here we see a W48 of October 1962 in black. The logo of Telefonbau and Normalzeit Lehner & Co. is engraved on the hook. We also notice the logo of this company on the numbered plate of the rotary dial. It is the only W48 in the years I collect that was found with T&N spare parts. Probably from the model of T&N Maingau 46. Because Siemens for some time and then did not support the maintenance of the W48 with spare parts, the Hellenic Telecommunication Organization, which had spare parts from German telephones, used them to service faulty devices.
