Urban Coinphone

Glass

Here we see a glass that was placed in the blue public telephone booths which began to be installed in the late 1960s. On the surface appears the OTE logo and the inscription URBAN CURRENCY. The early 1970s were the time when the token coin was replaced by the drachmas coin. The devices inside the booth were exclusively for urban conversation. The dimensions of the glass were 730mm x 130mm. It was placed above the folding door of the cabin.
